The use temperature of aluminum silicate fiber products is mainly affected by the main component refractory fiber material. Compared with traditional refractory bricks and refractory castables, aluminum silicate refractory fiber has the following advantages:

1. Light weight (reduce furnace load and extend furnace life) Refractory fiber is a fibrous refractory material, the most commonly used refractory fiber blanket, the volume density is 96 ~ 128Kg / m3, and the refractory is made by folding the fiber blanket The fiber module volume density is between 200 and 240Kg / m3, and the weight is 1/5 to 1/10 of light refractory bricks or indefinite materials, and 1/15 to 1/20 of heavy refractory materials. It can be seen that the refractory fiber lining material can realize the lightweight and high efficiency of the heating furnace, reduce the load of the kiln, and extend the life of the furnace body.

2. Low heat capacity (less heat absorption, fast heating) The heat capacity of the lining material is generally proportional to the weight of the lining. Low heat capacity means that the kiln absorbs less heat during reciprocating operation, and at the same time, the heating rate is accelerated, and the heat capacity of the ceramic fiber is only It is 1/10 of the light-weight heat-resistant lining and light-weight refractory brick, which greatly reduces the energy consumption in furnace temperature operation control, especially for the heating furnace with intermittent operation, which has a very significant energy saving effect.

3. Low thermal conductivity (less heat loss) The thermal conductivity of ceramic fiber material is less than 0.06W / mk at an average temperature of 200 ℃, and less than 0.10W / mk at an average temperature of 400 ℃, which is about 1 / 8 is about 1/10 of the light brick, and the thermal conductivity of the ceramic fiber material and the heavy refractory material can be neglected. Therefore, the heat insulation effect of the refractory fiber material is very significant.

These three characteristics are the biggest significant advantages in performance. However, the fire resistance of aluminum silicate fiber will also be affected by factors such as impurity composition, humidity, masonry method, fuel, atmosphere and other factors. The influence of chemical composition on the use temperature is obvious. The use temperature of ordinary type, standard type, pure type, high aluminum type and zirconium-containing type is increased in sequence, high purity type, high aluminum type and zirconium-containing type are artificial For synthetic materials, the content of impurities is low, and the amount of aluminum silicon (zirconium) is high. This is the main factor that determines the increase in use temperature. The influence of humidity on the use of fiber materials is an important factor that is generally not paid attention to. 90% of fiber materials are pores. It can be said that the dominant factor for the insulation of fiber materials is the insulation of air pores.

The thermal conductivity of water at 0 ° C is 0.52W / mk, which is nearly 20 times greater than the air thermal conductivity of 0.0247W / mk under the same conditions. The presence of water will inevitably increase the thermal conductivity of fiber materials. If the moisture in the fiber freezes into ice, the thermal conductivity of the fiber material will further increase significantly. The thermal conductivity of ice is 2.32W / mk, which is 94 times that of air under the same conditions. For this reason, for thermal insulation projects, the moisture content of the fiber material must be strictly controlled to ensure the thermal insulation performance of the fiber material.
